The Monte Gambarogno offers a breathtaking view, with a 360-degree panorama stretching from Bellinzona and its valleys, the mouth of the Maggia River (with Ascona and Locarno) to almost at the bottom of Lake Maggiore and the Po Valley. The ease of access to the hut, with only a 45-minute walk and with a new trail that presents no difficulty, allows a wide audience (from children to senior citizens) to reach the hut easily even on an impromptu hike the same day.
The Capanna Gambagorno awaits you for a summer hike, to enjoy the immense panorama accompanied by a hot meal of Ticino's regional tradition, as well as for a climb to the summit during the winter, perhaps with snowshoes or for those who want to with ski hiking equipment. The location of the hut, surrounded by various alpine projects, is attractive to both tourists with the intention of visiting the region, as well as natives who can take advantage of a meeting and social point on the summit of Monte Gambarogno.
